Major Theft in Vacant House on Rakshabandhan
According to the information given to the police, Yogesh Tiwari, a resident of Shiv Officer Colony, Ramnagariya, has filed a report in this regard.
Yogesh stated that on the evening of August 27, he, along with his family, had gone to his in-laws' house in Meena Paldi to celebrate Rakshabandhan.
When they returned home around 9:30 AM on August 29, they found the lock of the main door broken. The scene inside the house left them shocked.
Belongings Scattered in Rooms
Inside the house, all the belongings in the rooms were scattered, and the locks of the almirahs were also broken. The thieves had completely ransacked the house.
Incident Executed in Just 13 Minutes
When the CCTV footage from the house was examined, the entire incident was revealed. The footage clearly showed that the miscreants entered the house at 2:01 PM.
Exactly 13 minutes later, at 2:14 PM, they exited the house. The thieves carried out such a major theft in just 13 minutes.
What Was Stolen?
The thieves only targeted the valuable items kept in the house's almirahs. According to the report, the thieves took the following items from the house:
- Gold bangles, ring, nose pin, tika, mangalsutra, earrings, chain, ginni, tops, and bali.
- Silver coins, anklets, children's silver anklets, bracelets, and toe rings.
- Two lakh rupees in cash kept in the almirah.
The total value of the stolen jewelry is estimated to be around 30 lakh rupees.
Insider Suspected, Police Investigation Underway
The most surprising aspect of this case is that although there were several almirahs in the house, the thieves only broke into the three that contained jewelry and cash.
This raises the suspicion that the thieves had conducted a reconnaissance of the house before the incident or had prior information about the house. The police also suspect the involvement of an insider in this case.
Currently, the Ramnagariya police station has registered a case and is trying to identify the miscreants based on the CCTV footage and trace their entry and exit routes.
