When the victim tried to record a video of the incident, four policemen caught her. They not only assaulted and molested her but also struck her back with a belt.
Afterward, the police forcibly unlocked the mobile phone and deleted the videos of the assault. The family was threatened and driven away from the station, warned of dire consequences if they complained again.
Following this incident, the victim's family reached the Jalore SP office on June 2 and pleaded for justice. The victim also showed the belt marks on her back.
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, SP Shailendra Singh Indoria immediately ordered an investigation.
SP Shailendra Singh Indoria said, "The accused have been arrested and restricted on charges of disturbing the peace. Meanwhile, the case of assault on the victim and her family in the police station is being investigated, and action will be taken against the culprits."
