The administration had issued a warning two days prior to the removal drive.
This move aims to solve the parking problem for tourists.
MOUNT ABU | The administration has carried out a major operation in Rajasthan's only hill station, Mount Abu. Following the Chief Minister's instructions, the municipality has completely cleared the Kitchen Garden parking area of encroachments. This move is expected to provide relief from the severe parking problems faced by tourists.
Action Taken on Chief Minister's Directive
Recently, an important meeting of the Abu Development Committee was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister.
In this meeting, the serious problem of parking for tourists in Mount Abu was discussed in depth.
District Collector Rohitashva Kumar Singh and Sub-Divisional Officer Dr. Anshu Priya presented the issues of weekend traffic jams and parking shortages to the Chief Minister.
Prioritizing tourist convenience, the Chief Minister directed immediate attention to the matter.
Order to Prioritize Parking
The Chief Minister instructed officials to make the Kitchen Garden parking a double-story facility to accommodate more vehicles.
He clearly stated that a detailed roadmap for the entire city should be prepared and the parking system should be given the highest priority.
Strict instructions were also given to remove encroachments by illegally occupying people through a planned approach and to demolish any illegal constructions.
This action is part of a larger plan for the overall development of Mount Abu.
The Chief Minister and Chief Secretary Srinivasan have assured the development of the entire city as a major center of religious faith.
This plan includes the beautification around Nakki Lake and the planned development of major tourist spots like Sant Sarovar, Achalgarh, Guru Shikhar, and Adhar Devi.
A senior official stated, "Our goal is not only to make Mount Abu a beautiful tourist destination but also to provide world-class facilities to every tourist who visits."
Administration Formulated a Solid Strategy
Immediately after the Chief Minister's instructions, the District Collector and Sub-Divisional Officer brainstormed with all departmental officials on the city's development.
A phased plan was made to remove illegal encroachments. Under this, the work of widening the main roads of the city was first undertaken.
The main road became much wider after being cleared of encroachments, which eased traffic flow.
In this sequence, the final action to remove encroachments from the Kitchen Garden parking was carried out on Thursday morning. According to sources, the administration had informed the concerned people to remove the encroachments two days before this action.
After this operation, the Kitchen Garden parking area is now completely open and available for vehicles. This initiative by the administration has brought a sigh of relief to both local residents and tourists. This step is being considered a milestone in making Mount Abu a well-organized and tourist-friendly destination.
