Bikaner |Instructions have been issued to District Education Officers to ensure online registration of students for the National Children's Science Congress-2026 (NCSC-26). The last date for registration has been set for August 15, 2026.
This program is a flagship activity of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The department has urged all schools to ensure timely registration of eligible students.
Objective of the Program
Its main objective is to develop scientific thinking, innovation, and a spirit of research among students in the 10 to 17 age group. It is an important platform to encourage students towards science.
Students can participate in this congress in two categories. Students in the 10-14 age group can ensure their participation in the junior category, and students in the 14-17 age group in the senior category.
The theme for the 2026-27 competition is “Science and Innovation for Sustainable Development.”
Students will have to select a local social problem in groups of two. After this, they will have to work on its solution through scientific methods, surveys, observations, and experiments. Guide teachers will guide the students throughout this process.
Selection Process and Registration
In the first phase, students and guide teachers of registered projects will be invited to the project presentation program to be held at the district level in October 2026.
Projects selected from here will be given the opportunity to participate in state and then national level competitions. The online registration process for students has started on the NCSC portal.
