Bikaner |The Department of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, Bikaner has issued an important directive emphasizing maximum student participation in the National Children's Science Congress (NCSC) 2026. This directive has been sent to all divisional joint directors.

Objective of the National Children's Science Congress

According to the Department of Science and Technology, the main objective of this national-level competition is to promote a scientific outlook among students aged 10 to 17.

It aims to develop the spirit of innovation, creativity, and research in students so that they can make significant contributions to the field of science in the future.

Theme of the Competition

The theme for this prestigious competition to be held for the year 2026-27 is 'Science and Innovation for Sustainable Development'.

Through this theme, students will be encouraged to focus on the role of science and technology in achieving sustainable development goals.

Three-Tier Structure of the Competition

As per the issued instructions, this competition will be organized in three stages, giving students the opportunity to showcase their talent at various levels.

First Stage: District Level Competition

The first stage of the competition will be held at the district level in October 2026.

In this stage, students will have to give an 8-minute presentation of their projects, which they can present through a poster or a PowerPoint presentation (PPT).

Second Stage: State Level Competition

Projects that perform excellently and are selected at the district level will get a chance to participate in the state-level competition.

The state-level competition will be organized in December 2026, where the competition will be even tougher.

Final Stage: National Level

The top 30 projects selected from the state level will get the golden opportunity to participate in the national-level competition.

This national competition will be held in January 2027, where the best child scientists from all over the country will showcase their projects.

Instructions Issued by the Department

The department has instructed all concerned officials to widely publicize NCSC 2026.

Officials have also been asked to encourage as many students as possible to participate in this competition.

Furthermore, they have been directed to send information about the action taken in this regard to the departmental e-mail.
