Jalore | Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in a virtual dialogue with participants under the 'Viksit Vibrant Village Program-2026', organized by 'My Bharat'. In this program, he highlighted the role of villages in the country's development.
During this important interaction, Sunil Kumar Kela, a resident of Raniwara in Jalore district, had the opportunity to represent his district at the national level. He had a direct conversation with the Prime Minister.
Sunil shared his experiences of visiting the border villages of Himachal Pradesh with the Prime Minister.
He explained how government initiatives like the Prime Minister Internship Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana are bringing positive changes to rural areas.
Border Villages Termed 'First Villages'
In his address, Prime Minister Modi emphasized that developed villages can be the strong foundation of a developed India.
He said that the government has taken a significant step by giving border villages the respectable status of being the 'first village' of the country, not the 'last village'.
According to the PM, programs like the 'Viksit Vibrant Village' are becoming a powerful medium to connect the youth with the ground realities of the country.
PM's Call to the Youth
The Prime Minister made a special appeal to the youth participating in the program. He urged them to share their experiences with at least 100 other young people.
Furthermore, he also encouraged the youth to promote border tourism and play an active role in publicizing local culture and products.
Live Broadcast in Jalore
The entire program was broadcast live in the VC hall of the Department of Information Technology and Communication in Jalore.
On this occasion, District Collector Dr. Pradeep K. Gawande, Additional District Collector Rajendra Singh Chandawat, and District Youth Officer Hitesh Kumar Khatri, among other senior officials, were present.
Additionally, Joint Director Naveen Mathur, District Informatics Officer Kapil Ujjwal, and volunteers of 'My Bharat' also attended the event. The successful organization of the program was made possible through the coordination of the district administration, My Bharat Kendra, NIC, and the Department of Information Technology.
