These 5 Brands Banned for 2 Months
Following the forensic investigation report from the State Public Health Laboratory, the Food Safety Department has declared products with these specific batch numbers unsafe and has banned them. This action has caused a stir in the grocery market and among wholesale traders.
- Nandi Brand Cow's Ghee: Manufacturer Disha Enterprises (Balotra, Barmer), Batch No. 005
- Ratwadi Tea - Golden Thar (Tea): Manufacturer Shri Sanwariya Industries (RIICO, Barmer), Batch No. 150726
- G.S. Gold Red Chilli Powder: Manufacturer Himaya Foods Private Limited (Fazilka, Punjab), Batch/Lot No. G.S. 31
- K.D.P. Dairy - Krishna Brand Ghee: Manufacturer K.D.P. Food Industry (Delhi), Batch No. D.K. 1225 and D.K. 160326
- K.D.P. Dairy - Saras Brand Ghee: Manufacturer K.D.P. Food Industry, Batch No. D.S. 030426
Licenses of 9 Famous Food Establishments Suspended
This action was carried out under the guidance of Principal Secretary Gayatri Rathore and Food Safety Commissioner Avichal Chaturvedi. After samples failed in lab testing, the licenses of these 9 major shops and dairies were suspended:
- M/s Hardik Traders (Bakhasar, Barmer) - Adulteration in chili powder.
- Chai Wala establishment (Churu) - Prepared tea found unsafe.
- Sharma Sales Agencies (Rani Bazar, Bikaner) - Fried peas samples failed.
- Shri Sawai Bhoj Milk Dairy (Makadwali, Ajmer) - Milk found unsafe.
- India Milk Dairy (Stephen School Chauraha, Ajmer) - Adulterated milk.
- M.S.K. Resident (Vaishali Nagar, Ajmer) - Mouth freshener/fennel samples failed.
- Bajali Milk Dairy (Todaraisingh, Tonk) - Adulteration in ghee.
- Shriji Milk Dairy (Devli, Tonk) - Poor quality ghee.
- Shri Sanwariya Industries (Barmer) - Tea leaf samples failed.
Licenses of 3 Outlets in Jaipur Cancelled
The Food Safety Department has also completely cancelled the registration of 3 large establishments in Jaipur that were operating food businesses without a valid license or registration.
These shops were secretly selling unsafe food items despite their licenses being previously suspended.

- M/s Ganpati Dryfruits (Kukadkheda, Jaipur)
- The Kambu Cafe Food and Beverages (Nirman Nagar, Jaipur)
Be Cautious While Shopping
The Food Safety Commissioner has appealed to the citizens of the state to be vigilant when buying any packaged goods from the market.
Keep These Points in Mind:
- Packaging & Seal: Ensure the seal of the box or packet is not broken or loose.
- Batch Number & Expiry: Always check the batch number, manufacturing date, and validity (Best Before/Expiry) on the label.
- Brand Name: Beware of fake brands with spellings similar to genuine brands in the market.
If you suspect adulteration in any food item from any shop or brand, immediately file a complaint with the nearest Food Safety Officer (FSO) or on the helpline.
