Eco Clubs for Mission LiFE will be formed in 69,140 government schools in Rajasthan. The government has released a budget of ₹6274.500 lakh for this initiative.
The main objective of this program is in line with the National Education Policy-2020, Sustainable Development Goals, and the Government of India's Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment).
Through this, teachers and students in schools will be made aware of the environment. Additionally, sustainable lifestyles, conservation of natural resources, and community participation will also be promoted.
This activity will play an effective role in bringing about behavioral changes in students, developing environmental responsibility, and encouraging environmental conservation activities at the local level.
The Ministry of Education, Government of India, has provided the budget for the session 2026-27 based on U-DISE 2024-25. Under this, different amounts have been released for schools at various levels.
A total of ₹1597.2500 lakh has been allocated to 31,945 primary schools in the state at the rate of five thousand rupees per school.
Similarly, ₹1804 lakh has been released for 18,040 upper primary schools at the rate of ten thousand rupees per school.
A total amount of ₹2873.250 has been released for 19,155 secondary and senior secondary schools in the state at the rate of 15 thousand rupees per school.
