With the aim of ensuring public safety and safe transport facilities for passengers, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Sirohi team took significant action on Tuesday. The team conducted a surprise inspection of private buses operating in the city to review safety arrangements.
Who was part of the inspection team?
This surprise inspection team was led by DLSA Secretary Savitri Anand Nirbhik. Accompanying her were Alka Joshi, Transport Inspector Vineet Chauhan, Sub Inspector Daulat Singh, and ASI Shyamaji, along with other police personnel.
During the inspection, officials thoroughly examined several critical safety aspects in the buses. The main focus was on the availability and working condition of fire safety equipment.
Additionally, the condition of emergency exits for any crisis, the validity of necessary documents, and the availability of first-aid kits were also checked. The team also assessed other arrangements related to passenger safety.
Strict instructions given to bus operators
During the inspection, officials instructed bus operators to strictly comply with all prescribed standards related to passenger safety. They made it clear that no negligence in safety standards would be tolerated.
DLSA Secretary Savitri Anand Nirbhik said, "Passenger safety is our top priority. All bus operators must follow the prescribed safety standards to minimize the possibility of loss of life in any emergency situation."
She also directed the concerned officials to continue such inspections from time to time and to ensure that all necessary guidelines are effectively followed.
