The Sirohi-Gujarat border has once again become the center of discussions regarding alleged illegal liquor smuggling. In the border areas of the district, there is strong speculation that new routes are being used by smugglers to transport liquor to Gujarat, although there has been no official confirmation of these claims.

According to local sources, areas like Danbor in the Rohida police station area and Chanar, Siyawa, Jambudi, and Chandravati in the Abu Road area are allegedly being used for smuggling.
Among these, the Abu Road RICCO area is prominently mentioned, which has long been known as a "silk route" for liquor smuggling. Questions have been raised about this route several times in the past.
These discussions have raised several serious questions. The biggest question is, if there is truth to these claims, are the concerned agencies aware of it? If they are aware, why is no effective action being taken? And if they are unaware, is there not a need to strengthen the intelligence and informer network?

Sirohi SP Pushpendra Singh has given his reaction on this matter.
"We take action as soon as we receive information. The informer network has also been strengthened. There is no smuggling of any kind from our area. If we get more information in the future, we will take action. If liquor is going through some internal routes, we will get it investigated."
Now the biggest question is whether the concerned agencies will take these discussions seriously and bring the truth before the public by conducting a fair investigation, or will this matter also remain confined to discussions only?
