Abducted from Hotel Posing as ATS

According to the report filed with the police, Jhalaram Rabari, a resident of Mandwaria in the Barlut police station area, was staying at a hotel in Mount Abu on June 10. Late at night, some youths arrived and began to intimidate him, claiming to be from the Jaipur ATS.

The accused kidnapped Jhalaram and also took his companion, Chimanbhai, with them. They showed the victim on a video call to Khushwant Rawal of Bhutgaon and Rajubhai Rawal of Manadar, with whom he had an old financial dispute.

Demand of 98 Lakhs, Death Threats

After the kidnapping, the accused took him to a village in Barmer. There, he was taken through deserted dunes and given death threats.

"Give the 98 lakh rupees they are demanding, or this will be the last night of your life."

The victim stated that he had an old transaction with Khushwant Rawal. According to him, Khushwant was owed 20 lakh rupees, but he was forcibly trying to extort 98 lakh rupees.
