Taking a major step towards road safety, the District Legal Services Authority conducted a surprise inspection of private buses on a major highway in the district. During this, five buses violating the rules were seized.

Authority Secretary Led the Inspection

This inspection was led by the Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority and Additional District and Sessions Judge, Mandvi Rajvi. She stated that this action was taken under the special instructions of the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority, Jaipur.

Why was the inspection necessary?

The authority mentioned that the Hon'ble State Authority has taken serious cognizance of the frequent road accidents caused by unauthorized structural modifications in luxury and sleeper buses.

Such illegal modifications pose a serious threat to road safety, resulting in the unnecessary loss of many precious human lives.

Action is Part of a Statewide Campaign

This step has been taken to protect the right of citizens to safe transportation and to ensure strict compliance with the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and government guidelines.

For this purpose, a one-month special inspection and enforcement campaign is being run across Rajasthan by the State Authority.

Who was part of the inspection team?

In compliance with the State Authority's instructions, this inspection was carried out in Bikaner on July 9th. During the inspection, a total of five buses were found not to be in accordance with the rules and were immediately seized.

Apart from the Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, ADJ Mandvi Rajvi, the inspection team also included Chief Judicial Magistrate Meenakshi Tiwari and District Transport Officer Bharti Nathani.
