Jaipur |Amidst the drizzling showers of Sawan, the Pink City of Jaipur is once again ready to be drenched in the colors of folk culture. The Tourism Department is organizing a grand two-day Teej festival starting from August 15, which will be a unique experience for the city dwellers and tourists.

Teej Festival 2024: Main Attractions

This festival will be held at Paundrik Park, located near Talkatora Lake. The event will commence at 11:30 AM and will continue until 9:30 PM, featuring cultural performances throughout the day.

The festival will offer a glimpse of Rajasthan's rich art, culture, and traditional cuisine all in one place. A special craft market will be set up in the park, where handicraft items will be available.

Colorful swings will be installed for the entertainment of children and adults. Additionally, mehndi stalls for women will also be a center of attraction. Traditional and delicious Rajasthani dishes suitable for the season will also entice the people.

A Glimpse of Women Empowerment in the Royal Procession for the First Time

A special attraction has been added to the Teej Mata's royal procession this year. It will feature a unique confluence of faith, valor, and women's empowerment.

45 Girls in the Guise of Rani Lakshmibai

Vijayalakshmi Shekhawat, the founder of Shaurya Seva Sangathan, stated that about 45 girls from various schools in Jaipur will give a spectacular sword-fighting performance.

These girls will perform sword-fighting feats dressed as the warrior queen Rani Lakshmibai, symbolizing women's power. Participants including Dimple Rathore, Khushi Naruka, Divyanshi Shekhawat, and Yachika Tanwar will be part of this performance.

Grand Royal Procession of Teej Mata

The biggest and most awaited attraction of the festival will be the royal procession of Teej Mata on August 15. This procession will pass through the main routes of the city.

When and Where Will the Procession Start?

This grand royal procession will begin at 5:35 PM from Tripolia Gate. Around 175 folk artists will participate, presenting a grand spectacle of Rajasthan's folk splendor, traditions, and cultural heritage.

During the royal procession, performances of folk dance, folk music, and traditional arts will paint the streets of Jaipur in festive colors.

Live Broadcast in the City

Special arrangements have been made for the city dwellers and tourists to enjoy the procession live. The procession will be broadcast live on large LED screens installed at 13 major locations in Jaipur, including Chhoti Chaupar.
