Tension has escalated in the Narendra Singh alias Chintusingh murder case, a resident of Posaliya in the Paldi M police station area. Police took action late on Tuesday night at the indefinite protest being held at the Collectorate premises demanding the arrest of all accused.

During this action, a scuffle also occurred between the police and the family members, making the atmosphere tense.

Police Action at Protest Site Late at Night

A heavy police force reached the protest site late at night. The police removed the deceased's 70-year-old mother and other family members who were on protest.

The family has alleged that the police forcibly picked up the elderly mother and admitted her to the district hospital, causing great anger among the family and supporters.

During the action, a large police force including DSP Mukesh Chaudhary, City Kotwal Kailashdan, Sadar SHO Ghanshyam Singh, and Women's Police Station SHO Maya Pandit were present. Women police personnel removed the protesting women.

Why is the Protest Happening?

The protesting family members say that more than two months have passed since the murder of Chintusingh on May 12. Despite this, the police have only been able to arrest two accused.

Nine accused, including the main culprit, are still at large. The deceased's mother, three sisters, and brother are on an indefinite hunger strike for this demand.

'Protest to Continue Until Accused are Arrested'

The family says that their protest and hunger strike will continue until all the accused are arrested. Earlier talks between the administration and the protestors were also inconclusive as no concrete assurance was given.

How Was Chintusingh Murdered?

According to the family, on May 7, the accused called Chintusingh to a hotel near Khandra village. Upon his arrival, his vehicle was first hit.

After that, the accused launched a fatal attack on him with sticks and other weapons. Seriously injured Chintusingh succumbed to his injuries after six days of treatment in the hospital. A murder case has been registered against Arvind Singh and his associates in this matter.

Police's Stance

On this matter, the police say that the investigation is ongoing. So far, two accused have been arrested. According to the police, continuous action is being taken to search for the remaining accused. Meanwhile, the protestors have warned that their protest will continue until all the absconding accused are caught.
