On the occasion of Menstrual Hygiene Day, Prazna Foundation took a commendable initiative in Jaipur. On May 28, three special workshops were organized to raise awareness among women and girls.
The main objective of these workshops was to promote hygiene, health, and awareness related to menstruation.
The first session was held at the Government Intellectual Disability School and Teacher-Training Center.
Here, a dialogue was established with girls and women with mental and physical disabilities. Participants ranged from young girls to women over 30 years of age.
The workshop was conducted by Vishishta Singh (Managing Director), Prachi Khandelwal (Project Manager), and Namasvi Gaur (Volunteer).
The team provided important information to the women about the use of sanitary pads and personal hygiene.
Sanitary napkins and undergarments were also distributed on this occasion. The center's in-charge, Vidya Choudhary, provided full support in making the program successful.
Awareness Campaigns at Various Centers
The second session was held at the Punyartham Center, where about 30 women participated enthusiastically.
They were educated about dispelling myths related to menstruation and the importance of hygiene.
"Our aim is to break the silence surrounding menstruation and provide correct information to every woman so they can lead a healthy life."
The third session was organized in a slum adopted by the Prazna Foundation.
