Allegations of a multi-crore scam in the NHM budget in Sirohi.
ACB registers case against CMHO Dr. Dinesh Kharadi and others.
Serious allegations of tender manipulation and unnecessary purchases.
CMHO described the allegations as the result of a personal vendetta.
Sirohi | A case of an alleged multi-crore scam has surfaced in the budget of the National Health Mission (NHM) in the Medical and Health Department of Sirohi district. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a case against CMHO Dr. Dinesh Kharadi, Deputy CMHO Satyaprakash Sharma, and others.
This action was taken based on a complaint by BJP District Media In-charge Rohit Khatri. The complaint includes serious allegations such as financial irregularities in the NHM budget and manipulation of tender processes.
What are the main allegations?
Complainant Rohit Khatri has accused the officials of making unnecessary purchases and not properly implementing the Chief Minister's Free Check-up Scheme. He claims that this is preventing the general public from getting the benefits of the schemes.
Additionally, misuse of administrative posts and gross negligence towards public health have also been mentioned. Some social activists have also accused the officials of illegal monthly collections.
Taking the matter seriously, the ACB headquarters has directed the medical department to conduct a high-level inquiry. Meanwhile, the District Collector has also formed a committee to investigate the allegations, which has started its probe.
However, no investigation at any level has been completed yet, and the matter is entirely under investigation.
CMHO denies allegations
Regarding this entire matter, CMHO Dr. Dinesh Kharadi has refuted all the allegations. He stated that the complainant is targeting him for personal gain.
Dr. Kharadi said, "Rohit Khatri has filed several complaints against me and the Deputy CMHO in the last year. Every time we are found innocent in the investigation, he twists the complaint and gives it to another officer."
The truth of this high-profile case will only come to light after the investigation is complete. For now, there is a stir in the health department regarding this matter, and all eyes are on the ACB's investigation.
