Minister of State Otaram Dewasi denied any connection to the Ramjharokha temple land case.
Countering Sanyam Lodha, Dewasi asked why he was silent on the land deals from 2021-23.
He claimed to have carried out development works worth more than Rs 1500 crore in Sirohi in two years.
Dewasi demanded clarification from Lodha on the original ownership of the land for the Congress city president's petrol pump.
Dewasi's Counter-Attack on Lodha: I have no connection with the Ramjharokha temple case
Sirohi |Minister of State for Panchayati Raj and Rural Development, Otaram Dewasi, has countered former MLA Sanyam Lodha in a press conference regarding the land plots behind the Ramjharokha temple. He described the allegations made by Lodha as baseless and irrelevant statements made for political gain.
Allegations completely rejected
Dewasi clarified that he has nothing to do with this matter. He said, "The public has faith and trust in me that I have no hand in the misappropriation of Sanatan Dharma's lands."
He further stated that he had no information about the sale of the plots, nor did he give instructions to create plots in anyone's favor.
History of Land Ownership
The Minister of State explained that the Ramjharokha land was in the name of Mahant Shri Jayaram Das since the year 2000. Subsequently, it was transferred to the name of his disciple, Sitaram Das.
Dewasi said, "Sitaram Das must have sold it of his own free will, in which we have no interference."
Serious Allegations Against Sanyam Lodha
Dewasi accused Sanyam Lodha, stating that during his tenure between 2021 and 2023, the work of misappropriating the Ram temple land was done through third parties.
He questioned, "Why didn't you speak up at that time, nor did you submit a memorandum to the DLB, nor did you give instructions for an investigation to anyone."
Dewasi said that this proves it all happened with Lodha's collusion and all these lease deeds will be investigated.
Sharp Questions Asked to Lodha
Dewasi asked Lodha about the original ownership of the land on which the Sirohi Congress city president's petrol pump is built on the National Highway. He questioned, "Does that land also have any connection with the Ramjharokha temple?"
He also said that the encroachments on the lands of Mahamandir during Lodha's time will also be exposed.
Objecting to the use of words like 'Bhopa Bhagao' (Chase away the priest), Dewasi said, "I am a priest of a Mataji temple, and the god-like 3 lakh people of Sirohi have chosen me to serve. No one is going to run away because you say so."
Disclosure of Vinod Deora's Plot
The Minister of State revealed that a close associate of former MLA Lodha, Vinod Deora, had a plot in his name on the Ramjharokha temple land, which he sold to Harish Bhai Kika Bhai Purohit.
He clarified that he does not know Harish Bhai and his address in the deed is listed as Usmanpura, Ahmedabad, while he is being described as a resident of Mundara. Dewasi said he has nothing to do with this plot.
Listed Development Works Worth 1500 Crores
Listing the achievements of his tenure, Dewasi said that works worth more than 1500 crores have been carried out in Sirohi in two years.
He mentioned historic works such as the Agriculture College, road construction, bus stand reconstruction, 20 crore for missing link/non-patchable road construction, the state's only Fig Center of Excellence, a fruit and vegetable market, and the new formation of Kalandri Panchayat Samiti.
Cornered Lodha on College Issues
He described the foundation stone laying for a 93 lakh auditorium from the MLA quota in the Government College as misleading for the students and demanded a clarification on the fund's source.
Dewasi also alleged that Lodha gained applause by announcing a Veterinary College in 2022 but did not get any land allotted for it for two years, whereas he has now got land allotted in Gol for it.
Issues of Sangh and Seva Bharti
Dewasi said that he has always done positive work for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, whereas Lodha, out of malice, had cancelled the land plots of running Vidya Bharti (Adarsh) schools.
He alleged that the plot allotted to Seva Bharti in 2018 was also cancelled by Lodha in 2020, which he has recently re-allotted.
Commitment to Development
In the end, Minister of State Otaram Dewasi reiterated his commitment to being always ready for the all-round development of Sirohi and determined for the happiness and prosperity of the people of Sirohi.
MP Lumbaram Choudhary, District President Raksha Bhandari, District Head Arjun Purohit, and other BJP workers were present at this press conference.
