Ajmer | The layers of the sensational Chauhra murder case in the Borada police station area of Ajmer are now beginning to unfold. The role of Congress leader Ram Singh Chaudhary's wife, daughter, and minor son has come to light in this case. Police investigation has revealed that the accused made every possible attempt to destroy evidence, but they did not succeed.
The police have taken the accused mother, Sunita Devi, on a two-day remand, while the daughter, Sarita, has been sent to judicial custody. The police are now searching for other evidence and weapons related to this murder.
The case came to light when four bodies were found in a burnt SUV. Superintendent of Police Harshvardhan Agarwalla and his team immediately took action and started the investigation. When the FSL and MOB teams reached Ram Singh Chaudhary's house, the evidence found there told the whole story.
The accused had tried to erase evidence by washing the blood-stained bed and floor, but the bloodstains could not be completely cleaned. These stains proved to be the biggest lead for the police.
Bloody Handprint and Half-Burnt Gloves
During the investigation, the police found a blood-stained handprint on the trunk of a tree near the house. However, there were no palm lines on the print, which made the police suspect that gloves were worn at the time of the murder.
This suspicion turned into certainty when half-burnt gloves were recovered from the stove. The accused had hastily tried to burn the gloves, but they did not burn completely and fell into the hands of the police.
Smell of Diesel and a Broken Knife
The police detected a strong smell of diesel from the half-burnt clothes found in the car, which made it clear that an attempt was made to burn the bodies. Additionally, a broken and bent knife was also found near the house's stove. It is suspected that the knife was broken to destroy evidence.
Borada Station House Officer Suryabhan Singh stated that the main accused, Sunita Devi, is being interrogated. The police suspect that a fourth or fifth person might also be involved in this crime.
The police are also investigating from the angle of whether the victims were given any intoxicating substance in their food. Sweets and liquor bottles found in the house have been sent for examination.
This murder has caused a sensation in the entire area. The police are focusing on scientific evidence to ensure that the accused receive the harshest punishment. The investigation is still ongoing, and more revelations are expected in the coming days.
