Kirodi Meena Hits Back at Gehlot's 'Raid' Advice, Says 'Won't Sit in AC'
Jaipur | The political atmosphere in Rajasthan has heated up as a war of words erupts between former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Agriculture Minister Kirodi Lal Meena. Meena has sharply retaliated against Gehlot's 'personal advice' regarding raids, stating he is not a leader who sits in an AC room.

Meena's Retort to Gehlot's Advice

Responding to former CM Ashok Gehlot's statement, Agriculture Minister Kirodi Lal Meena said that unlike other leaders, he does not engage in politics from air-conditioned (AC) rooms.

Meena stated, "I want to stand on the ground and help the farmers." Targeting the previous Gehlot government, he mentioned that he did not let the government rest easy during its 5-year term either.

Meena alleged that numerous paper leaks and a major scam in the Jal Jeevan Mission occurred during Gehlot's rule. He said he has been raising these issues strongly, which is why Gehlot makes allegations against him.

He clarified that he does not care about these allegations and will continue his service to the farmers, vowing not to stop.

What Was Former CM Gehlot's Advice?

Earlier, Ashok Gehlot had termed Minister Kirodi Lal Meena's raids as 'illegal'. He had stated that a minister should not personally conduct raids.

Gehlot advised that if any untoward incident or conflict occurs during a raid, it would not be appropriate for the dignity of a minister's office.

He suggested that officials should carry out the raids, and the minister should only monitor whether the action is being conducted honestly.

Campaign Against Fake Fertilizers and Seeds

Notably, Agriculture Minister Kirodi Lal Meena is currently leading a campaign against fake fertilizers, seeds, and agricultural products.

As part of this campaign, he recently raided a bio-fertilizer factory in Kanota, Jaipur, where he found discrepancies in the product validity dates.

This political sparring has highlighted the ongoing anti-corruption drive and the clash between two prominent leaders in Rajasthan. It remains to be seen what turn this matter takes and how it affects administrative actions.
