New Delhi | The political turmoil over the NEET-UG paper leak case has intensified. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has cornered the central government on this issue, demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. He has accused the government of playing with the future of students.
Rahul Gandhi's Sharp Attack on the Center
In a press conference, Rahul Gandhi said that the irregularities in the NEET exam have broken the trust of millions of students and their families across the country.
Targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that the government is avoiding fixing accountability on this serious issue.
According to Rahul Gandhi, if the government were genuinely working in the interest of students, the concerned minister would have resigned by now.
He questioned the Prime Minister's working style, saying that the sense of accountability among his ministers has weakened.
Government's Counter-Attack and Assurance of Investigation
Meanwhile, the central government has outrightly rejected all of Rahul Gandhi's allegations.
The government stated that the investigation into the NEET paper leak case has been handed over to agencies like the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The government has assured that no one found guilty in the investigation will be spared and strict legal action will be taken against them.
Additionally, the government has also formed a high-level committee to make the examination system more transparent and secure.
This issue has now taken a completely political turn. On one hand, the opposition is continuously pressuring the government, while on the other, the government insists on waiting for the investigation to conclude. Amidst this political tug-of-war, the future of millions of students hangs in the balance.
