Allegation of selling land with a forged will
Patel alleged that Sitaramdas prepared a fake will based on forged documents. Using this fake will, the valuable land of the temple was subdivided and sold.
Documents obtained under the Right to Information Act revealed that all sale deeds were based on a will dated 8.3.2001. When Patel obtained a copy of this will, it had his and another person's signature named Devaram, which he claimed were forged. He also stated that the signatures of the deceased Mahant and Devaram did not match.
Terms of the original will
Natwarlal Patel stated that Mahant Jayaramdas had made his only will on 20.3.2001. This will clearly stated that the consent of the Control and Advisory Committee is mandatory for any transaction or sale of movable and immovable property related to the temple. Despite this, Sitaramdas sold the land by manipulating the documents.
Police did not take action
Regarding this matter, Patel submitted a report to the Sirohi police station on 8.12.2025, but a case was not registered. Subsequently, he also informed the Superintendent of Police by post on 22.12.2025, yet no action was taken.
Approached the Court
After receiving no help from the police, Patel filed a complaint in the District and Sessions Court on 27.1.2026. The Chief Judicial Magistrate reviewed the complaint and the factual report and then heard the case.
Court's strict order
The court acknowledged that this act falls into the category of a crime. In its decision on 3.7.2026, the Chief Judicial Magistrate directed the Sirohi police station to register a case under Section 175 (3) B.N.S.S. The court also stated that a case should be registered under the sections where the crime is apparent, an investigation should be conducted, and a report should be submitted to the court.
