According to the data, the share of the suicide and self-harm category in total actions was only 5.41% in 2022, which increased to 21.44% in 2025.
Similarly, action taken against obscenity and adult content has also risen from 10.97% to 16.85%. This shows how seriously companies are taking these issues.

Looking at the data of actions against content violations (in crores), all platforms have tightened their policies.
Instagram: Increased from 15.01% in 2022 to 55.90% in 2025
Facebook: Decreased from 84.74% in 2022 to 43.38% in 2025
Snapchat: Increased from 0.25% in 2022 to 0.72% in 2025
X (formerly Twitter): Decreased from 0.002% in 2022 to 0.004% in 2025
Total actions increased from 30.12 crore in 2022 to 160.697 crore in 2025.

Decrease in Cases of Bullying and Hate Speech
The data also shows that the share of action on cases related to bullying and online harassment decreased from 2.32% in 2022 to 1.85% in 2025. Similarly, the share of cases related to hate speech also decreased from 1% to 0.59%.
