Bikaner |Under Operation Neelkanth, the Bikaner police have carried out a major operation against organized criminals and drug traffickers. As part of this campaign, the police have frozen illegally acquired properties worth approximately ₹1 crore 41 lakh 85 thousand under Section 68F of the NDPS Act.
Action under the direction of the District Superintendent of Police
This entire operation was conducted under the direction of District Superintendent of Police Mridul Kachhawa. The police have cracked down on properties acquired through drug trafficking to financially weaken the criminals' network.
Mehrunisha's ₹1 crore property frozen
In the Sadar police station area, the police froze property worth about ₹1 crore belonging to Mehrunisha, wife of Murad Ali. This includes a residential house in Bhutton ka Baas, with a market value of around ₹36 lakh.
Additionally, a residential plot located in Rajiv Nagar near Chuna Bhatta has also been frozen, valued at about ₹64 lakh.
According to the police, Mehrunisha's husband, Murad Ali, is a history-sheeter of the Sadar police station with 17 cases against him. His sons, Taliban alias Taliman, and Laden have 10 and five cases registered against them, respectively.
Properties of two brothers worth lakhs also frozen
Similarly, action was also taken in the Ranjitpura police station area. Here, property worth ₹4.85 lakh belonging to Poonamchand Bishnoi, son of Jaisukhram alias Jassaram, was frozen. This includes a Mahindra Bolero Camper, an electric scooter, and other assets.
In the same Ranjitpura police station area, property worth about ₹37 lakh belonging to Premsukh Bishnoi alias Sony, son of Jassaram alias Jaisukhram, was frozen. This includes a residential house, an under-construction house, and a shop.
Police stated that Poonamchand and Premsukh are real brothers, and two cases each have been registered against them under the NDPS Act.
Operation Neelkanth to Continue
Police officials have clarified that the campaign to identify properties acquired through drug trafficking will continue throughout the district under Operation Neelkanth.
The properties of other habitual traffickers are also being identified, and action will be taken against illegally acquired assets according to the law.
Police Appeal to the Public
The Bikaner police have appealed to the public to provide any information related to organized crime and drug trafficking to the police. The police have assured that the identity of the informant will be kept completely confidential. The police have given the message for this campaign: “A decisive strike against drugs, towards a safe society.”
