The 'Women-Led Cyclothon-2026' was successfully organized in Jaipur on World Bicycle Day.
Around 250 cyclists, including senior citizens, participated in the event.
The event was led by Ironman awardee Dr. Sadhana Arya, with MLA Kalicharan Saraf as the chief guest.
The event promoted a healthy lifestyle, environmental conservation, and women's empowerment.
Jaipur | On the occasion of World Bicycle Day, the third edition of the "Women-Led Cyclothon-2026," held at Kanodia P.G. Mahila Mahavidyalaya, concluded successfully. In this women-led event, around 250 cyclists participated, spreading the message of a healthy lifestyle, environmental conservation, and women's empowerment.
A Confluence of Enthusiasm and Public Participation
The event began with an energetic Zumba and aerobics session, which filled the participants with new vigor.
The most special aspect of this cyclothon was the active participation of over 20 senior citizens alongside women and young girls.
The oldest participant of the event was 78-year-old Mr. Suyojyoti Prakash Jain, who cycled with great enthusiasm alongside the youth.
Dignitaries Graced the Occasion
The cyclothon was led by internationally renowned Ironman awardee Dr. Sadhana Arya, along with other senior women cyclists.
The chief guest of the event, Malviya Nagar MLA Mr. Kalicharan Saraf, emphasized the health, environmental, and social benefits of cycling.
He stated that such events led by women send a positive and transformative message to society.
Prof. Ashok Kumar, President of the International Society for Life Sciences (ISLS), shared his views on the role of cycling in promoting green transport and a sustainable lifestyle.
Dr. Seema Agarwal, Principal of Kanodia P.G. Mahila Mahavidyalaya, said that cycling is crucial for environmental protection as well as personal health.
Prof. Hemant Pareek, Principal of A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Government Girls' College, mentioned that this initiative, which started in 2024, has now become a grand public campaign.
On this occasion, many other personalities like Prof. Suman Kumar Sharma, Prof. G.C. Jain, and Additional Superintendent of Police Dr. Sandhya Yadav also motivated the participants.
Honors and Awards
During the event, personalities dedicated to cycling were honored with the 'Wheels of Change' Award.
The lucky draw organized courtesy of Cult Cycles was also a center of attraction. The first prize, a bicycle, was won by Ms. Bhumika Dheer.
Amul, Renova Oncology, and Jaipur Cycle provided special support for the successful organization of the event. Event coordinator Dr. Ritu Jain expressed her gratitude to everyone. This event proved to be a significant campaign for women's leadership, health awareness, and environmental protection.
