JALORE | A sensational incident occurred in Rajasthan's Jalore district late on Wednesday evening. Here, a district spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Yuva Morcha and a lawyer was fatally attacked by some unknown persons. The attackers stopped his car and brutally beat him with iron rods.

The incident took place near Siyana village in the Bagra police station area of Jalore district. The victim has been identified as Natwar Singh Rajpurohit (37), a district spokesperson for BJP Yuva Morcha and a lawyer by profession. He was returning to Siyana in his car after finishing his work at the Jalore court on Wednesday.
The attack occurred around 6 PM between Aakoli and Siyana, near Adwada village. Unknown persons in a car coming from the opposite direction forcibly stopped his vehicle.
Bishangarh police station CI Mohanlal Garg stated that as soon as the car stopped, the assailants attacked Natwar Singh with sharp weapons and iron rods. They also tried to drag him out of the car.
Seeing other people approaching during the assault, the attackers fled the scene in their vehicle. People present at the spot immediately came to his aid.
Deep head wound, fractured hand
Natwar Singh Rajpurohit was seriously injured in this deadly attack. He suffered a deep and long gash on his head, which caused significant bleeding. The wound was so severe that it required several stitches.
Additionally, he is also reported to have a fracture in one of his hands. People at the scene rushed the injured Natwar Singh to the Government Community Health Center in Siyana with the help of an ambulance.
After primary treatment, doctors referred him to Sirohi for better medical care due to his critical condition, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
As news of the incident spread, a tense atmosphere enveloped the area. Hundreds of people from the Siyana Kshetrapal Vyapar Sangh and the Rajpurohit community gathered outside the Siyana police post.
The crowd began a protest, demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits and strict action against them. The demonstration continued until about 11 PM.
Police assure action
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, senior police officials arrived at the scene. Bagra police station in-charge Mohanlal Garg assured the protestors that the accused would be apprehended soon.

The protestors ended their demonstration following the police's assurance. However, they have warned that if no action is taken against the accused by 5 PM on Thursday, they will resume their agitation. The police have seized the damaged car and started an investigation, launching a search for the attackers.
The motive behind the attack is not yet clear. The police are investigating the case from all angles, including political rivalry and personal enmity. The incident has raised serious questions about the law and order situation in the region.
