Jalore | In Jalore, Rajasthan, the Shiv Sena and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) held a strong protest in front of the District Collectorate regarding various issues. Both parties shouted slogans against the administration and submitted separate memorandums regarding their demands, calling for immediate action.
Shiv Sena's Uproar: Issues from Murder to Mining
Under the leadership of District President Rupraj Purohit, Shiv Sena drew the administration's attention to several serious matters. These primarily included the Amrit Dewasi murder case, illegal land grabbing, and illegal gravel mining in the Jawai river.
A Mother's Plea for Justice
The mother of the deceased, Amrit Dewasi, Rati Devi, expressed her pain. She stated that it has been almost three years since her son's body was found, but the police have not yet been able to solve the case.
The victim's mother said, "My son went missing on June 27, 2023, and his body was found the next day. We have not received justice to this day."
She alleged that the forensic report of the mobile phone found near the body has not yet arrived, which shows serious negligence in the investigation.
Land Grabbing with Forged Documents
In another case, Neha Rajpurohit from Bairath village reported that her land and plot were grabbed by creating a fake power of attorney in her name.
She mentioned that nine months have passed since she filed a report at the Bagra police station, but no effective investigation has taken place. Shiv Sena has demanded strict action against the culprits in this matter.
He alleged that the gravel mafia is digging 17 to 20 feet deep instead of the leased limit of 3 meters, which is damaging the natural form of the river and causing the water level in farmers' wells to drop.
BSP Also Raised Its Voice
On the other hand, the Bahujan Samaj Party also protested under the leadership of District President Omprakash Meghwal. The BSP targeted the government over rising inflation and the city's basic problems.
Administration Cornered on City's Poor Condition
BSP workers submitted a memorandum to the Jalore CO regarding issues such as sewage water flowing into Sundelav pond, a poor sewerage system, dilapidated roads, and irregular drinking water supply.
The party warned that if these problems are not resolved soon, they will intensify their agitation.
The protests by both parties have increased pressure on the local administration. It now remains to be seen when and what action the administration takes on these serious complaints to provide justice to the victims and relief to the city's residents.
